    AtkinsRéalis is presently in need of a Senior Process Systems Engineer - Balance of Nuclear Steam Plant to join our engineering team in Mississauga, ON.

    Your role within the team

    • Develop, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work.
    • Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers at lower grade levels and/or other technical employees.
    • Coordinate and review the work of engineers and support personnel.
    • Offer design solutions and assessments for new, updated, and modified process systems, structures, and components, focusing on the Balance of Nuclear Steam Plant.
    • Conduct thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems.
    • Perform design/inspection of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.
    • Prepare design documents for Nuclear Power Plants, such as Design Calculations, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification.
    • Generate Engineering packages.
    • Conduct walkdowns, attend site visits and meetings as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support the preparation of Engineering proposals.
    • Ensure adherence to the company's quality program.
    • Ensure compliance with project delivery requirements and schedules.
    • Assist Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress.
    • Interface with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

    The ideal candidate

    • Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
    • Engineering degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Process System design related to the Canadian nuclear industry, with a focus on the Balance of Nuclear Steam Plant and Balance of Plant systems.
    • Experience in conducting thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems.
    • Working knowledge/experience with nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III.
    • Familiarity with analytical tools for mechanical and process design; e.g., ANSYS, Mathcad, Flowmaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA, or similar.
    • Experience in working with nuclear power plant procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plant engineering activities.
    • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting.
    • Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
    • Excellent technical and practical skills to resolve engineering issues or technical problems.
    • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
    • Written and verbal communication proficiency.
    • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting.
