What can I expect to do in this role?: In these roles, you will:

Participate in strategic projects/activities and develop, modify, and enhance business processes to meet the legislative and audit requirements for relevant tax filing and reporting
Conduct research and analysis of business practices, technology and potential opportunities
Consult with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop recommendations; consult CRA, tax software vendors and other experts to ensure compliance with CRA requirements

How do I qualify?:

Financial, Accounting and Taxation Knowledge:

- you have knowledge of accounting principles in the public sector
- you have an understanding of government financial management and reporting practices
- you can explain financial and tax reporting requirements to system specialists

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

- you have knowledge of business analysis methodologies and techniques
- you have the ability to evaluate and synthesize large datasets to identify trends and variances
- you can analyze and investigate issues and develop options and recommendations

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

- you have the ability to liaison with stakeholders to gather information and seek clarification
- you can prepare research and briefing notes, analysis report, presentation materials, and business cases

Project Management Skills:

- you have knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies to lead projects and initiatives.
- you have the ability to manage work demands, set priorities and work within tight deadlines

Technical Skills:

- you have knowledge of large-scale financial management systems, business intelligence and analytics
- you have proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
