CUSTOMER SERVICE, LOGISTICS & DISPATCH COORDINATOR

The Coordinator is responsible for managing and scheduling drivers/trucks for pick-ups from commercial and residential customers, schools, bottle drives, etc., ensuring daily safety inspections and regular truck maintenance is done and drivers shifts are conducted according to our routing app system.

Building and sustaining excellent customer relationships goes without question. Other related tasks include data entry, reporting, analytics and systems management.


Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with depots and drivers to create efficient daily and weekly truck schedules and ensure all schedules, pick-ups, etc. are done in a smooth and cost-efficient manner.
  • Book school and bottle drive pickups and schedule drivers accordingly.
  • Manage and track truck safety checks and maintenance.
  • Ensure drivers are trained and in compliance with routing app.
  • Prepare reports and data as required for the organization.
  • Provide Marketing, Sales and Customer Support tasks as required.
  • Data entry including up/downloads from system portals and files and provide tech support for the recycling programs.
  • Actively participate as a collaborative member of the Regional team and foster a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years' related experience.
  • Related postsecondary courses are an asset.
  • Understanding of SOP's and workplace safety, is highly preferred.
  • Strong business sense including critical and strategic thinking, creative problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to multitask, be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and situations, and course correct to achieve results.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word and Excel and comfortable with learning other programs.
  • Solid administrative, accounting, record keeping and file management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished customer service skills and a drive to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Self motivated and a collaborative team player.
  • Available to work flexible hours/days including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A vehicle, valid driver license and a clear driving record are preferred.
