ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (PT: 24 hours/week)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


Working closely with our accounting team, the Accounts Payable Clerk will process accounts payable, reconcile accounts, work within full cycle accounting, do inventory reconciliation, and complete a wide range of accounting functions as required.

Your journey with Regional will start off as an Accounts Payable Clerk and you will be mentored to learn our business through all critical pathways of business operations at our various facilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

  • Review and process invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage vendor database including maintaining and updating vendor records.
  • Review and prepare reconciliation of vendor invoices and statements to include investigation of past due balances and discrepancies.
  • Prepare intercompany and inventory reconciliations.
  • Provide support to Controller during month end and year end processes.
  • Process EFT payments for the suppliers with weekly and monthly terms.
  • Record purchases from partners.
  • Request and prepare credit card reconciliations.
  • Provide support to accounting team for any/all projects.

Education & experience
An equivalent combination of the following education and experience will be considered:

  • A degree or diploma in Accounting, Financial Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar role and environment (e.g., manufacturing, warehouse, etc.).

Knoweldge, Skills and abilities

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, bookkeeping, inventory controls and reconciliations.
  • Experience using inventory software (s).
  • Strong MS Office, Outlook, QuickBooks, Excel skills and experience working with multiple platforms, exports, etc.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative and positive team member.
  • Ability to multitask, meet tight timelines and adapt to change and shifting priorities.
  • Motivation to learn other areas of accounting and provide support to accounting team.

HOURS & LOCATION

  • 24 hours per week, (8:00 am 4:30 pm)
  • Location: 6846 King George Blvd, Surrey, B.C.
