Position Highlights
As a Corporate Project Analyst, you will join our Project Management Office to monitor and control the progress and
performance of small to medium projects. This is a Temporary opportunity for 6 months.
Typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing formal project plans for small sized projects, and for medium projects with the assistance of the project manager.
- Creating detailed project budget plan. Track, forecast and report on project progress including metrics and challenges.
- Organizing project meetings, drafting of project documentation and monthend financials, and conducts ad hoc analysis of
- Supporting the PMO Manager in conducting project health check assessments and lessons learned.
- Liaising and working with divisional resource managers to secure employees to staff projects.
- Monitoring issues and risks that may impact or delay project schedules.
- Analyzing financial, verbal, or written information to identify potential issues as well as develop recommendations and/or
- Conducting background research and of compile data to draft key project governance and/or control documents and preparing
The above requirements would typically be met through post-secondary education and a few years of experience performing
financial analysis; courses and/or familiarity with Project Management concepts are desirable or having worked within a
formalized and structured Project or Program Management office.
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of generally accepted project management principles and methodologies to plan, monitor and assess project
- Ability to understand the context of project plans in order to facilitate and monitor planning project activities.
- Experience facilitating discussions and meetings to gather, exchange information, or provide recommendations and/or
- Ability to handle multiple demands and meeting of critical timelines.
- Knowledge of project management tools including but not limited to Microsoft Project, financial management software (such as
- Proficiency in information management tools such as SharePoint site creation, setup of libraries, manage permission and
- Working knowledge of Agile issue tracking products such as Jira for development of burndown charts, Kanban, and agile
- To adapt to changing demands and schedules within a fast paced project environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work well with others and ability to influence others to get things done on time.
- A selfstarter with a proactive work style.
