A & L provides reliable, comprehensive and effective services for analytical testing.Our Environmental division provides inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, general chemistry, microbiology and pesticide analysis using state of the art technology and methodology.
A & L Canada Laboratories Inc.is currently seeking an Laboratory Technician in our Agriculture Lab who will be responsible to ensure timely and quality results of the tests; full implementation and compliance with the quality control program, adherence to all health & safety and lean programs to result in accurate, efficiently produced, reliable test results delivered on time for optimum customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Follows lab protocols to carry out samples preparation, analysis and reporting, and ensures quality results are met;
- Able to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues;
- Writes SOPs, test methods as required;
- Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma or similar program
- Good knowledge and experience using a variety of techniques and instrumentation such as ICP-MS, LECO, and wet chemistry techniques considered an asset;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Possess a positive work ethic with teambased attitude;
- Willing to be flexible in job duties;
- Excellent communication skills
