A & L Canada Laboratories Inc.

is currently seeking an Laboratory Technician in our Agriculture Lab who will be responsible to ensure timely and quality results of the tests; full implementation and compliance with the quality control program, adherence to all health & safety and lean programs to result in accurate, efficiently produced, reliable test results delivered on time for optimum customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Follows lab protocols to carry out samples preparation, analysis and reporting, and ensures quality results are met;
Able to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues;
Writes SOPs, test methods as required;
Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations;
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma or similar program
Good knowledge and experience using a variety of techniques and instrumentation such as ICP-MS, LECO, and wet chemistry techniques considered an asset;
Strong attention to detail;
Possess a positive work ethic with teambased attitude;
Willing to be flexible in job duties;
Excellent communication skills
