Our Environmental division provides inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, general chemistry, microbiology and pesticide analysis using state of the art technology and methodology.

A & L Canada Laboratories Inc.

is currently seeking an Laboratory Technician in our Agriculture Lab who will be responsible to ensure timely and quality results of the tests; full implementation and compliance with the quality control program, adherence to all health & safety and lean programs to result in accurate, efficiently produced, reliable test results delivered on time for optimum customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:


  • Follows lab protocols to carry out samples preparation, analysis and reporting, and ensures quality results are met;
  • Able to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues;
  • Writes SOPs, test methods as required;
  • Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma or similar program
  • Good knowledge and experience using a variety of techniques and instrumentation such as ICP-MS, LECO, and wet chemistry techniques considered an asset;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Possess a positive work ethic with teambased attitude;
  • Willing to be flexible in job duties;
  • Excellent communication skills
