- Design data solutions for the Platform including data intake, transformation, and movement between Platform zones
- Design, implement, and manage data ingestion processes for the Platform
- Design and implement processes for data enrichment and aggregation
- Align data processes to business requirements
- Produce and maintain Platform technology standards
- Ensure data controls in the Platform meet regulatory and internal policy requirements
- Stay abreast of technological developments, and research and recommend new technologies, with focus on efficiency and reliability
- Articulate pros/cons of various approaches and recommend solutions
- Ensure Data Management strategy aligns to Corporate Strategy and industry best Practices
- Enforce automation of processes wherever possible for repeatable results and reduction of human error
- Accommodate multiple stakeholders and work to resolve potentially conflicting requirements and constraints
- Act as Platform Services' first point of contact for new initiatives – for example, new projects
- Drive continuous process improvement
- Research opportunities for additional data acquisition
- Assess product currency and plan patch application and version upgrades
- Create and maintain Disaster Recovery procedures
- Ensure data is stored with effective controls and adheres to policy for security, retention requirements and privacy risks.

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Analytics Platform Manager to design solutions that satisfy Business requirements for data in the Analytics Platform. Accountable for both functional and non-functional design aspects of solutions, movement of data into the Analytics Platform and Information Factory and between zones within it.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Enterprise Analytics Enablement, you will be empowered to:
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 3 – 5 years progressive experience as a System Architect or System Administrator in a large data centre environment. Familiarity with the Apache Hadoop stack in general and Cloudera distributions in particular. is an asset Strong experience provisioning and supporting access controls using Active Directory or similar technology. Experience administering SaaS systems is a strong asset.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of the Apache Hadoop stack. Deep knowledge of Cloudera Data Platform is a plus.
Critical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable performing in an ambiguous environment. Proven ability to respond to Production incidents and provide effective solutions under pressure. Strong ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
