    Responsibilities:

    • Preparation and assembly of patient food trays following proper food handling protocols
    • Maintaining food supplies and storage areas
    • Tasks may include belt line tray assembly, dishwashing, cart transportation, and other assigned duties

    Requirements:

    • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
    • Previous experience in food services
    • Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment operation
    • Understanding of food safety practices
    • WHMIS certification
    • Experience in ware washing
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Commitment to teamwork and customer service
    • Exposure to Lean principles is an asset
    • Commitment to safety programs and practices
    • Adherence to SHN's Code of Conduct
    • Physical fitness to meet job demands
    • Professionalism and reliability

    Physical Demands:

    • Sitting, standing, walking, bending
    • Manual dexterity for handling equipment
    • Lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads
    • Exposure to various environmental conditions
    • Working with cleaning solvents
