    TheSchool of Health and Life Sciences (SHLS) Centre for Advanced MedicalSimulation (CAMS) is a state-of-the-art interdisciplinary simulation facility.Accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), CAMS offers over6000 square feet of space for facilitating immersive experiences across health-relateddisciplines and settings. Collaborating with external partners and engaging inresearch and grant-funded projects, the school's team ensures a dynamicenvironment for innovation and learning.

    Reportingto the Dean, SHLS, the Director will be responsible to realize the vision ofCAMS as a Center of Excellence in the field of Simulation. The Centre serves multiple programs withinthe School and has the capacity to serve the needs of additional stakeholdersboth within and external to NAIT. This role will be pivotal in generatingrevenue through external clients bookings, donations and research funding whilefostering invaluable industry partnerships. The Director leads a driven,dynamic team, ensuring consistent delivery of results. The Director willposition CAMS as a beacon of innovation and excellence in healthcare educationand research. Success in this role is achieved through consistent andwell-developed application of the following core competencies:

  • KeyAccountabilities:

  • Provides leadership and oversight of the entire simulationcentre and program
  • Responsible for the strategic direction of the Centre,with a large emphasis on growth and ensuring the sustainability
  • Plays a key role in client management functions,including securing donations and establishing/maintaining partnerships
  • Drives research output and is responsible foroverseeing research and grant funds
  • Responsible for marketing and revenue generation
  • Responsible for compliance of facility and programaccreditation
  • Skills& Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills toserve the needs of a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Specific knowledge about simulation pedagogy andpractices is required.
  • Diverse knowledge of all program, specialty andcurriculum needs required to effectively manage and support all simulationprograms across the SHLS
  • Demonstrated success in generating revenue andsecuring research and grant funding is required.
  • Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field such asbusiness or health administration, and a polytechnic diploma in a field relatedto the work done in the Centre.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
  • At minimum 3 years of related experience insimulation-based education and training
  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation
  • Demonstrated success in securing research and grantfunding
  • Minimum 5 years of management and leadershipexperience.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Remuneration : $105, $140,285.86 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification– MGMT).
