- Manages a portfolio of staff that may includeSimulation Technologists, Educational Technologists, Patient Models, ProjectCoordinators, Program Assistants, contract instructors, and other staff asoperationally required
- Sources and recruits a range of qualified casualinstructors, Education Technologists, Simulation Technologists, and SubjectMatter Experts.
- Ensures mentoring and coaching opportunities areprovided to staff
- Provides consultative support to contract instructors
- Encourages staff development and growth with trainingin new technologies
- Determines which new technologies are adopted withinCAMS
- Ensures simulations are delivered as scheduled and areof high quality, meeting accreditation standards
- Manages fluctuating staffing levels as a response toCAMS schedules, including internal and external bookings and financialsustainability
- Coordinates with operations across multipledepartments to ensure access to required support staff
- Ensures all (SSH) accreditation standards are met
- Facilitates faculty development within CAMS and theSHLS
- Proactively seeks out and makes recommendations forimprovements
- Responds to internal/external factors affecting CAMSdelivery and best practices
- Leads the implementation of projects, assembles andcoordinates project staff, and facilitates with project teams to define projectscope, goals, and deliverables
- Manages project budget and resources and executesproject tasks and resource requirements
- Coordinates ongoing review, evaluation, and revisionof program content to maintain relevancy, effectiveness, adherence to bestpractices and connection to industry
- Ensures new external bookings are developed on time,on-budget, and according to contracts and scope of work specifications
- Identifies new service needs and assists the Directorin coordinating the financing, design, development, approval, and delivery ofsuch new services

Description
Reportingto the Director, Centre for Advanced Medical Simulation (CAMS) this position isresponsible for internal (academic) and external services (revenue generation)operational needs and effectiveness for the Centre for Advanced MedicalSimulation (CAMS). The CAMS Manager is a unique position that will ensureoperational efficiency using non-academic times to provide revenue whilemaintaining quality and accreditation standards. The Manager will also beresponsible for CAMS projects oversight, including coordination, implementation,execution, and ensuring consistency with commitments and goals.
Whilethe Manager oversees the outcomes of effective operations, their focus isstrategic and forward looking. The Manager is responsible for ensuring theprogramming operations they oversee are structured and supported by teams ofcross-functional professionals who can manage daily operations with a good dealof independence and autonomy, aligned to the strategic direction provided, andwithin NAIT policy and procedural frameworks.
Keyresponsibilities will include planning and coordinating the operational needsof CAMS and developing and implementing strategies and efficiencies at theCentre's level. Accountabilities will include assisting in the preparation andreview of department financial plans, working collaboratively with other areasof the Institute including the SHLS Programs, Finance, Student Recruitment,Industry Solutions, Research Ethics Board, HR and others to ensure the needs ofthe Centre are met.
