Geoscape Contracting is a pioneer in the green industry specializing in landscape construction for many large commercial and urban developers, with projects spanning across the GTA. We dedicate ourselves to all aspects of commercial landscaping, including but not limited to; softscaping, hardscaping, grading, retaining walls, plant installation, sodding, terraseeding, park construction and trucking.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Maintain safety as number one priority in all daily activities;
2) Conduct all business in a professional and timely fashion, ensuring Geoscape's Core Values are being represented to the highest standards;
3) General accounting and bookkeeping

  • Month end bank reconciliation
  • Review and reconcile monthly company credit card expense reports & manual employee expense reimbursements;
  • Inventory tracking and reporting
  • Maintain complete fixed assets record, filing and update.
  • Assist in yearend preparation & communicate with external accountant when required;

4) Accounts Payable:

  • Manage the PO, A/P and biweekly payment cycle.
  • Maintain all the A/P relative documents to support audit annual review.
  • Respond to all vendor and subcontractor payment inquiries and update relative documents
  • Follow up with vendor/subcontractor and Project Manager to resolve billing discrepancies

5) Accounts Receivable:

  • Assist the billing, A/R and collection cycle and update in Contract Complete
  • Assist maintain contracts folder up to the date
  • Enter new contracts and change orders to Contract Complete when received and creates project binders for all new projects
6) Other general office duties, as assigned.


Skills and Qualification:

  • BA in accounting and finance
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Advanced computer skills in all Microsoft Office software products required
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Aggressive written and verbal communication skills

Salary:
$45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
