Supply Base Management Specialist, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, working out of the
Ottawa, ON office. The
Supply Base Management Specialist will join Vertical Lift Sustainment Supply Chain function, and develop a strong understanding of the integration across multiple functions (i.e. Contracts, Estimating and Pricing, and Supply Chain).
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, inservice requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
- Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
- Analyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunities.
- Develops mitigation plans.
- Identifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activities.
- Provides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategies.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- 5+ years of experience working directly with Supplier Management
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required Project Management skills
- 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
- Must be eligible to handle US exportcontrolled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Postsecondary education
- Aerospace and/or Manufacturing experience
- Active security clearance
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government.
