As a Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, design, administration, and coordination of qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights that support operational and strategic decision-making for Community Services. In this role, you will also conduct internal research and evaluation. Primary duties include:
  • Provide research expertise to clients to make sound decisions that affect their business planning, policy analysis, operations, customer service and employee relations.
  • Design and coordinate research including focus groups, personal interviews, and surveys.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns about the survey process or other services provided.
  • Analyze data, synthesize information, and manage projects.
  • Formulate recommendations, report and present research findings and insights to clients.
  • Work with the Corporate Research Team to prepare Statement of Requirements (SOR) as part of the vendor procurement process.
  • Qualifications
  • A degree in Social Sciences, Marketing or Business and at least 5 years of directly related research experience, preferably in public opinion or market research.
  • Experience with primary research is required.
  • A solid understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research is required.
  • Experience using Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS), or equivalent statistical software programs would be considered an asset.
  • Experience and understanding of research in the fields of Recreation, Social Programs, Arts & Culture and Social Policy would be considered a strong asset.
  • Success in this position requires well developed project management, presentation, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
