Environmental Risk Assessor - Calgary, Canada - Debbie Mastel & Associates
Description
As a member of the Assessment and Remediation team, you will support the risk assessment portfolio. This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.You will support the initiative to execute various scopes of risk assessment work for upstream and midstream oil and gas clients.
You will be responsible for the cost estimating, planning, execution, and report writing/ reviewing of risk assessment work. This role is permanent and will work on a hybrid schedule. This will be 2 days a week in their downtown office and 3 days from home.Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of risk assessment programs
- Coordinating and executing Tier 2 Assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessments, SST Assessments and Directive PNG045 Assessments
- Business development and marketing to grow and expand our client's Risk Assessment service offerings
- Cost tracking, reporting and report technical review
- Implement corporate and client safety programs
- Prioritize work, multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced, high volume team environment
Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience in the Oil and Gas sector
- Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline
- Must possess or be eligible for professional designation
- Subsoil Salinity Tool Certification (preferred)
- Experience with Tier 2 Assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessment and SST Assessments
- Familiarity with Directive PNG045 (beneficial but not required)
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds
- Proactive approach to problem solving with a strong ability to take initiative
- Must have strong ability to influence and communicate
- Proven ability to build relationships across various organizations
Job Types:

Salary:
$70,000.00-$89,000.00 per year
