Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports ("Linck") requires one (1) permanent, part-time Kinship Services Worker. Hours of work will be 21 hours per week. The start date of this position will be as soon as possible.

The incumbent provides a variety of services related to the ongoing support of Kinship Services (out of care) families.

Services related to the initial screening and assessment, orientation, training and approval process for those individuals interested in providing Kinship Services (out of care) for a child/youth.

He/she provides services related to the selection and placement of a child/youth in a Kinship Service (out of care) home upon the request of another social worker.


Qualifications:
- four year Honours Bachelors degree (BA); Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW); or Indigenous degree would be an asset;
- up to three (3) months of practical experience;
- up to date knowledge of Kinship Service Standards and Ministry Regulations would be an asset;
- knowledge of the Differential Response Model for Child Protection in Ontario as well as of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Ministry standards and guidelines and Agency policies and procedures would be an asset;
- completed training in PRIDE curriculum and SAFE home study tool would be an asset;
- knowledge of dynamics of separation and attachment between parent figures and children;
- preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions;
- a commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-appropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve;
- computer and keyboarding skills;
- the ability to communicate in French is an asset;
- a valid driver's license and use of a reliable personal vehicle; and
- double vaccination or a valid medical exemption for COVID-19 in accordance with agency policy.

Salary:
$31.53-$39.00 per hour
