SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advise and support management and employees on all HRrelated matters including but not limited to; talent and performance management, employee relations, compensation, workforce planning, organizational design/effectiveness, recruitment and employee onboarding and retention;
Understand business needs and challenges, develop solutions and influence outcomes with expertise;
Develop and maintain strong relationships with management and employees at all levels to realize the most effective outcomes of people plans and strategies;
Lead key strategic HR initiatives as identified through corporate goal setting with sound project management skills;
Lead and partner with business leaders to complete annual HR initiatives; provide visibility through clear communication of expectations and deadlines;
Manage disability cases relating to short and longterm disability, WCB, CNESST, and/or WSIB claims;
Analyze HR trends and metrics and develop solutions to address risk areas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

A minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in progressively more responsible Human Resources roles, preferably having spent at least 5 years in a strategic, clientfacing Human Resources Business Partner role with strong functional knowledge in all aspects of human resources practices, policies and programs;
Postsecondary degree in Human Resources or related;
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP/CHRL) Designation is considered an asset;
Experience working in a federally regulated environment is an asset;
A selfstarter with the ability to work with mínimal supervision while maintaining sense of team;
Exceptional ability to think through problems and implement solutions;
Ability to work proactively with a sense of urgency and flexibility;
Highly developed attention to detail, efficiency and time management skills;
Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
Bilingual highly preferred; written and verbal fluency in French;
Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
Previous experience with ADP WorkForce Now and/or Jobvite is considered an asset.
