    Role Responsibilities

    The Ministry of Children and Family Services has an exciting opportunity and is looking for a Program Analyst to join our team

    This Analyst position supports the Office of the Statutory Director (OSD) and the Practice Measurement Unit (PMU). This position promotes and ensures the integrity of quality assurance processes, statistical analysis, and reporting. The Analyst utilizes knowledge of various systems (e.g., data base systems, business technology platforms), processes, analytics, and reporting to recommend, design, develop and present standardized and reliable data and reports. These functions support the strategic operations, planning and management of regulatory and quality assurance activities. This role also utilizes technical knowledge of development and programming concepts to design custom applications within existing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Novi, survey platforms, Microsoft 365) for business processing activities, providing the organization with valuable operational data. The Analyst utilizes computer-based techniques in identifying, extracting, and analyzing business data.

    Reporting to the Manager, the Analyst works independently and collaboratively, as needed. Working with colleagues and leadership within the branch, the Analyst will support the needs of the PMU and OSD and its stakeholders to collect, analyze, synthesize, report and present operational data to understand trends, issues and risks related to service delivery and best practice.

    This position will operate independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Analyst operates within relevant policies, legislation, and governmental procedures, while exercising professional judgment in developing resolutions, providing options/alternatives and in planning and organizing work in response to management and quality assurance requirements. The position also makes decisions on terminology and formats for deliverables and outcomes, in consultation with the leadership.
