You as an Enterprise Systems Consultant will:
Along with providing technical expertise in the area of Payroll, take ownership over the operations and maintenance of other PATT functional areas within the Workday ecosystem (Absence and Time Tracking);
Work with the Payroll system operations team and the wider business to design solutions to address articulated business needs;
Serve as a senior resource on the Payroll system operations team to refine and groom a backlog of issues, change/enhancement requests, and project deliverables;

Keep current of the architecture of the Payroll systems, across the various employee populations, providing expertise on the touchpoints among functional areas and the necessary security, business process, data quality, integration and reporting impacts resulting from configuration changes, system updates, etc.

As primary point of contact, take charge of vendor/SaaS provider relationships, particularly during critical post-deployment periods, reporting back to impacted team members and users on progress;
Coordinate with Payroll system operations team members to demo new features, build solutions, and deliver any communication or training assets to impacted user groups;
Master and maintain the custom organizations, security groups, job catalog, and other business objects that are required to ensure uninterrupted operations of the Payroll functions;
Lead the testing and deployment of new features and functions as system updates are released; provide technical leadership for functional areas under their responsibility across impacted employee groups, including the development of solutions to manage risk and exploit opportunities arising from change;
Collaborate with other technical teams on changes and enhancements to integrations (WQL, DaaS, SOAP, REST, etc.);
Own data management for functional areas under their responsibility, including Reporting/BI/Dashboard and other data visualization solutions, user experience design, and the design and building of custom solutions, where required

Is this the right role for you?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence/Analytics, MIS, or other technical program plus 3-5 years of direct industry experience; or
College diploma in IT/IST/ICT, preferably with a focus on Systems administration or Cloud Infrastructure management plus 5-7 years of direct industry experience;
2-3 years working directly with Payroll solutions (Workday highly preferred);
Experience with Absence and Time Tracking is an asset.
Advanced working knowledge of spreadsheet solutions, web services, query languages or other languages for data analysis;
Previous Workday consulting and/or Workday deployment experience is highly-valued and previous Workday Training within the past 2 releases is an asset;
Experience working within a Center of Excellence (CoE) or Lean/Agile Enterprise IT governance structure;
Workday Certification is a nice-to-have;
Understanding of unionized workforces is an asset.
