- Oversee and assist in all administration and auditing of registered products on a daily, monthly and annual basis as required (on a rotational basis)
- Review registered products documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable legislation, identify inaccuracies and violations and follow-up as required
- Provide resource to staff regarding legislation of all registered products including RRSPs, RRIFs, LIRAs, LIFs, FHSAs and TFSAs.
- Process, audit and verify all estate documentation as it applies to registered products (on a rotational basis)
- Review monthly registered products reporting , processing corrections as needed
- Update and maintain reports for tracking and record keeping, submitting to CRA when applicable
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to applicable legislation and credit union policies/procedures pertaining to registered products
- Deliver a needs-based style of service according to SCU's service delivery model
- Provide back-up support for data entry and set up of all registered products transactions
- Apply best practices and identify areas for improvement
- Grade 12 diploma plus 1 to 3 years of financial services industry related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation and completion or willingness to complete Registered Products Administration - Specialist would be considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

An exciting opportunity awaits
We currently have an opportunity for an Associate, Registered Products Officer to join our team in our Steinbach Branch. As an Associate, Registered Products Officer, you will contribute to the development, administration, and maintenance of regular internal audit programs to assess registered products and evaluating the operational effectiveness and compliance with established credit union policies, procedures, legislation and member service effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
