Position Overview
Spark is currently recruiting a part time Science Guide, food and beverage. The Science Guide, F&B reports directly to Manager, Food and Beverage.

The Science Guide F&Bis accountable for delivering superb customer service to ensure guests satisfaction.

This includes roles as a cashier, assisting guests on their menu choices, upholding high level of cleanliness and service, and being a brand ambassador for TELUS Spark.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and contribute with the collective effort of proving great customer service and welcoming atmosphere to our guests.
  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions for guests.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with colleague and other staff in Spark.
  • Work as a team and support all the food service staff in delivering of service.
  • Keep area stocked and clean.
  • Engage guests and make them feel welcomed.
  • Aim to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Proactively identify needs or issues that are or will impact guests and act accordingly.
  • Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment.
  • Ensure all elements of the guest journey is held to the highest standard.
  • Ensure personal and team activities are aligned with business and strategic goals of Spark as a whole.
  • Model high performance, flexibility and kindness in a rapidly changing growth environment.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Cash handling experience.
  • Able to use cash registers and card payment systems.
  • 12 years of related experience within the Customer Service field.
  • Good verbal communication skills and is able to listen and easily understand guests' requests.
  • Ability to answer and address customer questions and concerns in a manner that benefits both the guest and the organization.
  • Ability to work as part of the food service team to create an exceptional guest experience.
  • A proven track record of adding value to an organization's culture and initiatives.
  • A positive attitude
  • Desire to work on a high performing team with a continuous upgrading culture to achieve high impact results. Fluidity and a desire to work hard and grow are essential.
  • A high degree of creativity with the ability to leave your ego at the door.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
  • A clear criminal background check is required.
