- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets by working with Benefits Advisors to review quotations for potential clients and to present proposals.
- Perform all duties related to the management of existing accounts assigned specifically financial duties like annual account renewals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Benefits Advisors and be attentive to their needs so they want to bring their business to Victor.
- Understand Victor client management processes, systems, underwriting guidelines, etc.
- Manage plan amendment process.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competition.
- Prospect for new advisors in a dedicated territory to increase awareness of Victor and sell our Employee Benefits product offering.
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of group insurance. Individual knowledge of life insurance, disability insurance, underwriting and healthcare insurance may be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with a passion for presentations.
- Ability to act quickly and efficiently and come up with innovative solutions
- Strong sales and interpersonal skills as well as motivation to achieve business targets
- Superior oral, written and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
- Designation or working toward GBA (Group Benefit Associate) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist)
- Life license is an asset and will be required within the first 12 months of employment.
- Proven track record in supporting a large block clients in the small to mid-size employee benefits market.

Our head office is in the globally diverse city of Mississauga, Ontario. Hybrid remote/office work arrangements are possible. We are open to permanent telecommuting arrangement from other cities for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Eastern Sales Team Leader, the successful candidate will join a team of 7 outstanding, high preforming sales professionals on the Eastern Sales Team.
The Sales Representative is responsible for proactively providing support to Benefits Advisors in our Group Benefits Division. The successful candidate will work to meet or exceed the objectives set for sales and retention. To manage those targets, great decision-making ability and initiative are required. The successful candidate will also manage a block of business for renewals.
