tentree is a lifestyle apparel company based out of Vancouver, Canada that plants ten trees for every item purchased.

By combining social and environmental consciousness with apparel, we empower our customers to have a direct impact on saving the planet through intentional purchasing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apparel Design Intern to join our Design team for the summer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist and support throughout different stages of design process.

If you pride yourself on being process-oriented, having excellent organizational skills, and a soft spot for seeing that the small but important design details are not left to the last minute, then this is the position for you.

As an intern, you will work alongside our Material, Design and Development teams to assist and provide support in their day to day tasks.

What will you be doing?

You will work closely with the designers and provide support with researching and identifying marketplace and sustainability trends.
You will assist with the request, review, and documentation of lab dips and support with the creation and maintenance of all colour palettes for the season.
You will assist the design team with trim development.
You will assist in preparing presentations for crossfunctional checkpoint meetings.
You will help create CAD drawings.
You will assist the Design team with administration needs as needed, including PLM and VLP updates.

Additional Details:

Internship Dates: May 1, to August 18, 202
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Vancouver, BC with the ability to work some hours remotely
Wage: $16.00 per hour

Requirements:

You must be available to work from May 1, to August 18, 202
You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Retail Merchandising, or related field at an accredited college or university
You must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person who is legally able to work in Canada
You must be located in Vancouver, BC
Superior attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Excellent project and timemanagement skills
Entrepreneurialminded with an aptitude for problemsolving
Ability to work crossfunctionally with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
