Description

As a Tire Technician, you will be an integral part of delivering "service, value, performance to the extreme" to our clients.

Duties and responsibilities
Your primary role is to repair, change and balance tires (cars and light duty fleet vehicles).

Using appropriate tools and tire machinery, you will:

Change tires, make repairs
Select proper tire sizes, verify correct tires
Perform tire maintenance: checking wear/tear, tire pressure, cleaning tires/wheels
Reset TPMS according to procedures
Mount/dismount tires without damage to wheels
Balance, rotate
Ensure efficient, accurate, thorough communication to service team
Assist automotive mechanics with general mechanical services
Assist the service team with recommendations, alternatives and technical explanations
Perform oil changes on a wide variety of passenger and light truck vehicles(including reset of oil monitoring system)
Assist with minor vehicle part replacements (air filters, light bulbs, etc)
Assist with customers stored wheels and tires (prewash wheels before storage)
Unloading and loading tire deliveries
Tire change over at offsite location
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including tire cart
Able to complete written reports with accurate detail
Support a safe and environmentally responsible workplace
Be punctual, reliable, hard working
Work fulltime hours with some overtime requirements during peak season
Attend staff meetings and training seminars/sessions
Complete online training courses as outlined in training schedule
Perform any and all additional tasks given by Shop Foreman/Supervisor not outlined in this job description

Education, skills and experience required to perform this job

High school diploma or equivalent
12 years' tire or garage related experience AND a willingness to learn
TIA (Tire Industry Association) course completions are an asset
Know where to get needed information e.g. TPMS
Able to work in a fastpaced, busy environment
Ability to lift approximately 5075 lbs
Strong customer service focus, team player, "get it done" attitude
Maintain the Xtreme Tire Garage Code of Conduct, Ethics and support a safe and environmentally responsible workplace

Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour
