JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Cement Dispatcher, manages all cement drivers and organizes all deliveries on a daily basis.

This position would be based in Harley, Ontario (Between Brantford and Woodstock).
Must be willing to work flexible hours.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee cement deliveries each day
  • Provide exceptional customer service in regards to orders and/or concerns
  • Direct the pickup and delivery activities of orders with an objective of the most timely and efficient service possible
  • Provide accurate directions for pickup and delivery services
  • Oversee inventory levels at various locations
  • Coordinate with third party providers to optimize resources
  • Other activities as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

An effective Cement Dispatcher must have the following:

  • Reliable and highly motivated
  • Safety conscious
  • Detail oriented
  • Minimum 2 years' experience, preferably in a similar field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (written and oral)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to resolve conflicts with the utmost respect
  • Strong knowledge of the timing required for transport truck travel in the area
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently in high pressure situations

Will be required to be "on call" Monday-Friday evenings and some Saturdays
