The Crump Group Inc., a large & rapidly growing pet food manufacturer based in Mississauga Ontario and Nashville North Carolina is seeking a dynamic, results oriented
Financial Analyst for Mississauga location.


Job description
You will be primarily responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with preparation, tracking, and actualizing of annual operating plan.
  • Assist in the preparation of the supporting documentation for budgets and forecasts.
  • Review and analyze expenses and operating trends compared to the budget.
  • Create variance analysis reports, financial models and projections
  • Assist with setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinate, update and maintain the fixed asset database and relevant schedules.
  • Assist with CapEx budgeting and monitoring.
  • Verify, analyze, and reconcile all major GL accounts including the maintenance of supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain tax and regulatory filings.
  • Assisting with other functions within the accounting department as appropriate.
  • Provide recommendations on internal control procedures, system improvements and process enhancements, and assisting in implementation of approved changes.
  • Learn about the overall business in order to ensure development of reporting to better understand, analyze and predict financial trends.
  • Plan and conduct analysis of financial data, provide assessment of existing and proposed financial plans, provide recommendations in key strategic and tactical areas relating short term and longterm business strategy.
  • Provide timely, and relevant analyses and reporting of departmental performance in terms of historical, budgeted and forecasted results to facilitate decision making.

A Few Extra Ingredients

  • 23 years of work experience in a similar capacity (financial analysis)
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting and/or related fields.
  • Working towards CPA designation
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent recordkeeping
  • Ability to juggle multiple balls at once while finding efficiencies in an entrepreneurial, fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional partners from several departments in the organization.
  • Good with Excel, Word, and related software
