The Asset Integrity Optimization Supervisor exists to ensure Pipeline Integrity's mitigation and repair programs are aligned to support the long-term needs of the Company and that risks associated with proposed changes to the operation of LP's assets are identified and mitigated appropriately.

This role leads a team of technical engineers who liaise with other LP groups on behalf of Pipeline Integrity in order to maximize business value and minimize risk.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordination of Integrity SME input and the creation of authenticated Engineering reports in response to external (to PI) requests for review of proposed operational changes.
  • Ownership and management of OutofService Asset Plans, including the associated Long Range Planning for monitoring and mitigation activities on these assets.
  • Ownership, execution, and continual improvement of the Integrity Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) process.
  • Subject Matter Expert for Pipeline Replacement.
  • Oversee the Asset Systems Management function, including acting as a bridge between Asset Performance, Asset Management and Pipeline Integrity for longrange integrity program planning and optimization of pipeline system assets.
  • Work with external stakeholders to manage and resolve Integrityidentified operating conditions detrimental to pipeline system integrity.

Who You Are:

You will have the following education & experience:

  • A Technologist diploma with 12 or more years of directly related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience would also be considered.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver thorough technical analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong Project Management and results oriented skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Successfully prioritize multiple projects to meet task, deliverable, and deadline requirements while handling stakeholder expectations.
  • Leverage innovation in initiative planning, development, coordination and other areas of accountability.-

Working Conditions:


The work environment demands the ability to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective despite the resulting disruptive effects.


This position may require travel up to 10% to the US and within Canada for business purposes as the need arises.
