Tartan Homes Corporation is an Ottawa new home builder that has been building new communities across Canada's capital for over 50 years.


The Customer Service Administrator is responsible for supporting the Service Coordinators in the overall delivery of the customer service initiative at Tartan Homes.

The performance of the duties must ensure a quality approach to all employees, homeowners, managers and trade partners.

All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Tartan vision and must comply with all company policies and procedures.

This is a full-time permanent position with an anticipated start date of May 1, 2023.


Responsibilities:


  • Respond promptly to customer phone calls and inquiries,
  • Review and troubleshoot written lists from homeowners regarding after sales service issues,
  • Submit documentation to trades and construction site staff to complete after sales service repairs,
  • Submit written correspondence to homeowners and trades when required,
  • Support the Customer Service Department and other departments with other related duties as required,
  • Prepare information folders for Pre-Delivery Inspections,
  • Data entry as required, and
  • All other duties as required.

Statement of Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Postsecondary education in Office Administration considered an asset.
  • Experience in a data entry and administrative support would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Proficiency using various programs and software is required, including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple priorities and deadlines.

Work Environment:

  • Providing service to several people or departments, working under simultaneous deadlines.
  • Sitting or standing for long periods of time at workstation.
  • Manual dexterity is required.
  • Busy work environment.
