Research Coordinator, Department of Psychiatry, Sunnybrook Research Institute Status: Temporary Part-Time (1 year term with an option to renew)


Hours: 20; some flexibility required.


Job Overview

  • A Bachelors's degree in psychology or closely related field
  • A Graduate Degrees and/or >12 years of experience in research in the area of psychology and/or psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Experience with the design and maintenance of databases is desired, as is competence with the software programs SPSS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience organizing, managing, coding, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data is preferred.
  • Previous experience conducting translational or clinical research projects is preferred; expertise in knowledge translation and implementation science is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of research assistants and coordinators on various projects within Dr. Ellis's lab
  • Collect, collate, maintain, process, and/or analyze records relevant to current projects
  • Assist with preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and poster presentations
  • Work independently as well as within a collaborative environment.
  • Assist with the daytoday operations of ongoing studies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
