About the Job
The _General Labourer _will support various departments in the function of their role


This includes:
the welding team, installation, service technicians, and more. General Labourer should have strong mechanical aptitude. You will be trained to fabricate/weld compactor feed systems as well as to install compactors/balers.

This is a permanent position. Training will be provided, and growth opportunities are available.


Work Hours:
7am-3:30pm | Over-time may be required


A Day in the Life

Shop Operations:


  • Engage in
    power washing tasks to maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for painting which includes activities such as grinding, taping, and other prep tasks.
  • Ensure regular
    shop cleanup and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
  • Reposition equipment within the yard for efficient operations.
  • Assist technicians in changing heavy components, including but not limited to cylinders and motors.

Team Collaboration:


  • Collaborate closely with the welding team, installation specialists, and service technicians.
  • Offer assistance in welding, fabrication, and equipment cleaning.
  • Contribute actively to our
    dynamic, fastpaced work environment.

Skill Development:


  • Operate essential tools and machinery. (Training will be provided as necessary).
  • Receive comprehensive training in the fabrication/welding of compactor feed systems and the installation of compactors/balers.

General & Ad-Hoc Tasks:


  • Engage in other general shop duties as they arise.
  • Display a proactive attitude towards learning, adapting, and taking on new challenges.
  • Execute additional tasks or projects as assigned.

- his role demands physical agility, including standing, kneeling, bending, and crouching for various tasks.

  • Frequent exposure to moving parts, diverse weather conditions, and significant noise levels. Wearing protective equipment (PPE) is obligatory as per our Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Often operate in environments where waste is present. As such, it's crucial to be comfortable working near garbage and to always prioritize safety and cleanliness.
  • Proficient manual dexterity is crucial for handling jobspecific equipment and tools
