Summer Student - Clinical Assistant

WHIWH CHC provides racialized women, trans and non-binary clients from the African, Black, Caribbean, Latin American, and South Asian communities in Toronto and surrounding municipalities with culturally safe, relevant, and responsive primary healthcare.

We are changemakers engaged in knowledge transfer and exchange, research, capacity building, and advocacy within and across multiple systems.

Accountabilities - Key

Perform administrative duties such as performing data entry and word processing functions, and creating a variety of documents.
Provide customer service assistance by performing reception duties, responding to public and/or internal inquiries.
Assist with small archival/ling projects by following a prescribed set of rules to store or destroy les Plan, organize,coordinate, and manage daily assigned work

Qualifications

Be between 15 and 30 years of age
Be a fulltime student intending to return to school on a fulltime basis in the next academic year
Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [S.C. 2001, c. 27]*.
International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
Be able to work independently with a multidisciplinary team of health care providers in providing community health services to Black Women and Women of Colour from marginalized communities
Possess excellent written, oral, computer and organizational skills
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Have efficient time management and organizational skills;
Be flexible and good at multitasking
Have reasonable facility with standard Microsoft Office programs;
Be willing to commit to the full duration of the work assignment
