    Description

    Job Description

    • Answer phone calls and email requests from customers, affiliates, and subcontractors
    • Follow internal procedures for opening files (contract review, JOC, WS, etc.)
    • Upload documents to internal and external servers
    • Provide clear work instructions to SGS affiliates
    • Communicate regularly with clients and provide updates
    • Prepare and send reports, certificates, and invoices to customers
    • Review and approve invoices from SGS affiliates before submission to clients
    • Support Manager in customer meetings and conference calls
    • Offer technical assistance to clients and SGS affiliates regarding shipments
    • Address any concerns during load/discharge operations
    • Ensure accuracy of reports and data before sharing with clients
    • Maintain the security and accuracy of client data
    • Handle Accounts Payable processing for Minerals Trade Departments
    • Assist with special projects in the laboratory department

    Qualifications

    • Experience: 5 years in operations/shipping
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Knowledge of Marine Shipping trade is an asset
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Team player with leadership qualities
    • Flexible and problem-solving mindset
    • Exceptional time management and attention to detail
    • Ability to follow work instructions accurately
    • May require extended hours and shift work

    Additional Information

    Salary: $22.50 – $24.50
