The Role:


The Manager, Service is responsible for manages Service Technicians, performs service repairs for closed homes, completes minor drywall, trim, paint and any other repairs on the submitted homeowner list.

The Manager, Service is responsible for monitoring the trades at each appointment and properly communicating the Service Coordinator.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Meets with site staff daily to review work orders and any concerns.
  • Assesses all water leaks/structural defects and 30 Day/1 Year/2 Year Claims.
  • Tracks and drives Homeowner Survey initiative.
  • Ensures all onsite infrastructure is prepared for each site (bin) and the site is stocked with all necessary technician supplies.
  • Assesses and attends all Conciliation appointments on site to address all escalated homeowner concerns.
  • Supervises and schedules all seasonal exterior items to completion.
  • Tracks and actions all exterior repairs.
  • Attends biweekly warranty meetings to review aging report.
  • Records and reports weekly site updates to Director, Service.
  • Meets monthly with Service team to review current events and upcoming evolution.
  • Supports Service Technicians, as required.
  • Monitors and maintains the model home maintenance program on a weekly basis.
  • Monitors the budget / cost related to warranty repairs and report trends.
  • Assesses all Service lists from PDI's, 30day, 1st year, 2nd year and any other issues daily.
  • Responds and assesses all emergency repairs on multiple sites, as required.
  • Regularly reviews and actions all scheduled appointments, service matters and deficiencies until point of completion.
  • Performs any necessary MIR or PDI walkthroughs.
  • Schedules, tracks and executes Exterior Program on site.
  • Performs other duties, as required.

You will bring:


  • Completion of High school education level or higher preferred
  • 25 years' experience in residential/ commercial construction industry, or experience in the renovations / repairs business.
  • Ability to lead a team of Service Technicians.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades functions such as carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. is a requirement, as is knowledge of various tools and equipment.
  • Comfortable in the use of technology smartphones, tablets or computers to record, review and communicate information related to deficiency lists.
  • Flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned sites and to work at locations across the division.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, regular access to a vehicle and provide own tools.
