QUALIFICATIONS:


Graduate of a Community College in the Medical Office Administration Course or equivalent required 
Medical Terminology Certificate required 
Keyboarding (45 wpm/95% accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) skills required 
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Meditech Expanse (ability to generate required reports/results) 
Experience with Microsoft word/excel preferred 
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required (training delivered by Health Centre upon hire) 
Experience with Minimum Data Set - Complex Care is an asset 
Secretarial experience in a clinical setting required 
Knowledge of collective agreements, payroll time sheet experience an asset 
Strong organizational skills required 
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required 
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health team required 
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of clients and families to ensure patient focused care and

positive customer relations 

Ability to work with mínimal supervision required 
Good attendance and work record required 
Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and

visitors 

Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization 

North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) is a unique health care organization with three primary roles: providing acute care

services to North Bay and its surrounding communities, functioning as the district referral centre providing specialist services for

smaller communities in the area, and it's the specialized mental health service provider serving all of northeast Ontario. At more

than 400 beds, our state-of-the-art regional health centre has over 150 physicians, 2300 employees and 250 volunteers.
