ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping / Receiving Duties**:
- Accurate and timely completion of Equipment Shipping and Receiving Records (EMM's)
- Take in/out pictures of equipment/attachments and submit them to appropriate personnel
- Must verify the S/N's of equipment and attachments and ensure information is documented accurately
- Handle paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Complete damage inspections of all equipment entering yard
- Load and unload equipment and attachments in a safe manner
- Organize equipment for yard display
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Responsible for operating heavy construction equipment in a safe manner
Warehouse Duties:
- Respond to customer needs in the procurement, ordering, shipping, and receiving of inventory
- Ship and receive parts and/or equipment and record all incoming parts, units, components, and assemblies into inventory and prepare parcels for shipping
- Pull and stage parts for work orders and sales orders
- Stock shelves as needed and organize parts locations balancing inventory control with work efficiencies
- Communicate and coordinate with other branches on all transfers of parts and/or equipment
- Parts/Service/Sales running as needed
- Build knowledge of existing product lines, service standards, and procedures
- Take advantage of every available opportunity to increase knowledge at meetings, seminars, and schools
- Maintain close, positive working relationships with service, sales, and administrative departments
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
- Maintain a high degree of proficiency with regard to parts business and functions performed in order to instill internal and external customer confidence, assurance, and satisfaction with the parts service
- Will operate a forklift in close quarters; loading and unloading parts onto and off trucks
- Enter accurate information into our computerized inventory system
Required Skills:
- Above average computer comfort level to work with Word, Excel, Access, MS Outlook, Purchase Order systems and Distributor Operating systems
- Experience with the operation of heavy equipment a plus
- Proficient in writing, reading and math
- Forklift experience required
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision will be required and have a positive mental attitude
- Very detailoriented with high organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks
- Possesses the understanding of process flows within an organization.
- Ability to communicate with management the status on tasks and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
- Requires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Requires ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 50 lbs. or more
