Compensation:
$50,000 -$65,000

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for issuing mortgage commitments to brokers & agents
  • Must ensure all lender conditions are met & satisfied and documentation is complete and all deals are closed in a timely manner by achieving broker complete
  • Responsible for creating Solicitor's Instructions and ensuring lawyer has completed legal compliance
  • Must follow funding guidelines when closing all private mortgages
  • Responsible for completing In-House Compliance on all mortgage closings
  • Must be knowledgeable with legal documents to ensure all conditions are satisfied and documentation is complete
  • Responsible for sending out weekly reports, track & maintain mortgage records and monthly audit
  • Responsible for completing all lending projects as needed & Liaison with client's mortgage agents, RE Acquisition team, lawyers, appraisal companies, creditors, and inhouse debt settler to ensure all mortgage files are closed efficiently and within required deadline
  • Responsible for liaising with private investors in respect to producing investment summaries
  • Responsible for keeping all physical & virtual files organized and up to date at all times including CRM notes and share drive files
  • Must work closely with all 3rd party associates and affiliates in a timely and professional manner to ensure divisions runs smoothly in respect to deadlines
  • Responsible for all post administration of mortgage/lending files but not limited to deposits, Renewals, Non-Renewals, Payouts, Tax Payments, mortgage discharges, collections calls, etc.
  • Responsible for completing administration work while developing a working knowledge of all products and services
  • Must work with manager to ensure yearly audit is successful

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3+ Years' experience in a mortgage underwriting role or lending industry
    is mandatory

Must be able to read, understand and create legal lending documents such as; Mortgage Commitment, Solicitor Instructions, Mortgage Renewals, Discharge Statements & Demand Letters

  • Must be able to make daily, prompt phone calls to respective key individuals in addition to collection calls
  • Must have 1 or all of the following experience Mortgage Underwriting, Mortgage Agent/Broker, Lending Underwriting, Funder and/ or Closer
  • Minimum College Diploma /University Degree
  • Experience in sales, Real Estate, Investing will be considered an asset
  • Experience working with Brokerage /Private Lending Company Sectors will be considered an asset
  • Mortgage Agent or Broker License will be considered an asset
  • Must have excellent technology skills and advanced in using all Microsoft Suite Software's including, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.), Outlook, Google Chrome, etc.
  • Must have excellent auditing, financials, and decision makings skills
  • Conducts oneself in a highly professional manner and operates with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Min Typing speed of 50/words required
Must own a vehicle and have full access at all times

  • 8 hour shift
