Job Responsibilities_**
_ Recruitment and Orientation_

  • Prepare, coordinate and deliver orientation to new employees
  • Tracking recruitment costs and hires and creating reports as required

_HR/Benefits Administration_

  • Support the implementation of our new HRIS and serve as one of our Systems Administrators
  • Ensure all documentation is completed for new hires
  • Track and schedule training
  • Send safety certificates of crews to Production staff and general contractors as requested by managers
  • File, track and send out calendar invites for all approved time off requests for all three branches, office and field.
  • Organize and coordinate various training programs for employees at various levels of the organization
  • Responds to employee inquiries
  • Employee Relations
  • Assist with any inquiries from the field and office regarding employee relations
  • Assist with Attendance and Discipline program including ensuring union receives correspondence when applicable

_Other Duties_

  • Work on HRrelated projects as required in collaboration with team members
  • Assist with weekly meetings, including producing meeting minutes
  • Book travel from time to time for managers
  • Responsible for various administrative tasks

_Job Requirements_

  • 24 years' experience in Human Resources, with some experience in recruitment, ideally in the construction or related industries
  • Strong computer skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook) and some exposure to HRsystems (e.g., Applicant Tracking systems)
  • Ability exercise discretion and use good judgement
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Terrific interpersonal skills
  • A great work ethic
