Blue Feather Communications is a fast-growing maintenance and construction contractor in partnership with major telecommunication and utility companies across central Ontario.
We are currently seeking for AZ/ARZ drivers with a minimum of 3 years driving experience, and a clean driving abstract to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to:
- Responsible for operating the hydro-vac, float equipment, and labour as needed
- Manage the vehicles and their actions; responsible for identifying weight so as not to exceed vehicle requirements
- Load and unload heavy equipment in a secure and damage free manner
- Transport cargo and/or equipment utilizing various combinations of truck and trailer and use various types of equipment to move and install material
- General site preparation and cleanup as directed
- Complete the Driver's daily pretrip, inroute, and posttrip vehicle inspections, as well as the Driver's log book and accident or incident reports
- Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle (interior and exterior)
- Digging/holes and trenches pulling cable
- Handles and distributes construction materials, safely loading and unloading vehicles with supplies and equipment as directed, and is responsible for the removal of all debris from work sites
- Complete construction work in an effective, safetyconscious manner
- Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and condition of equipment
- Driving of an assigned work vehicle may be assigned
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or relevant experience
- Valid class ARZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract
- 2 + years experience driving vehicles within a license class held
- Can operate a bulldozer and excavator over 8 tonnes and load all equipment, maintaining safe equipment operation
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to work with others
- Ability to work and follow directions in challenging work environments
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Must be able to work in restricted and tight spaces and at heights
- Must be able to stand, lift 75 lbs, carry, bend, reach, etc.
- Punctuality, flexibility, and reliable
- Safety oriented
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor working environment: ability to work in all weather conditions
- Travelling to various sites may be required

Travel may be required to other various locations in all Grey Bruce and Simcoe County including Stayner, Barrie, and Markdale.
Preferred Experience/ Training and Certifications:
- Experience operating a miniexcavator and skid steers
- Ability to read telecommunication plans and work maps
- Equipment operation experience in a construction environment (2 years+)
- Underground telecommunications preferred
- First Aid/CPR Training is an asset
- Working at Heights and Confine Space training is an asset
- Directional drilling experience is an asset
