    About Glencore's Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations

    Sudbury, Ontario, Canada is one of the most geologically rich areas of the world. This northern city in the Canadian Shield boasts a 60-kilometre-long formation called the Sudbury basin, which is brimming with nickel, copper, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum and palladium deposits. It's also been home to Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO) since 1929. Our Sudbury operations include exploration, underground mines, a mill and a smelter, and Onaping Depth, a deep mine project at Craig Mine , all located in this basin. We currently employ more than 1, 2 00 permanent employees and support another 1,200 contractors.

    The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking aMaintenance Supervisor - Mobile to join ourGlencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

    The position will be based at Craig Mine.

    This is a permanent position.

    Duties and Accountabilities:

    Reporting to the Maintenance General Foreman, the Mine Maintenance Supervisor - Mobile is accountable for the supervision of trades personnel (HDEMs) so that budgetary targets are met or exceeded regarding safety and health, production, metallurgical and quality performance, operating economics, environmental compliance, and productivity. This involves close communication and coordination with fellow reports and relies heavily upon the incumbent providing leadership and technical expertise to subordinates.

    About You

    The incumbent must possess excellent leadership abilities and superb communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of functions simultaneously.

    Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your success in this role.

    Education

    This position requires the completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or related trades certification and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in mechanical engineering or related field would be considered an asset.
