Primary Purpose of Position

:


Priestly Demolition Inc. (PDI) is looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about Project Management with more than 5 years of experience in the construction industry

In this position, the PM is responsible for directing the planning, coordination, and safe execution of jobs in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget, delivering projects to the forecasted margin. This individual will direct activities for the Project Coordinator, who will provide support to the PM.

Job Duties

Be accountable and manage the successful execution of a portfolio of projects in accordance with the scope, schedule and budget from start to finish

Accountable and held responsible for the financial success of projects, focusing on PDI's financial goals set annually**:


  • Use estimates to create project budgets to reflect actual task structure and schedule
:

Develop resource loaded schedule for all project with the Master Schedule

:

-
Ensure production is reported accurately using B2W Track

:

-
Provide direction to the Project Coordinator and give them required information for execution of duties

:

-
Oversee subcontracts and the purchase of material(s), including approval of subcontractor invoices

:

Direct the activities of and monitor the performance of subcontractors

:

Attend various start-up, progression and close-out in-house and client meetings as required

:

Work with the Superintendents and Health & Safety department to develop and maintain safety and quality control plans and programs

:

-
Ensure all projects are completed with worker Health and Safety as the utmost priority;

:

Ensure compliance with Regional (provincial and territorial) and other regulatory authorities

:

Ensure compliance with overall in-house and client Health and Safety Policy and Programs

:

-
Review project contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors

:

Manage client relationship and expectations in cooperation with the Vice President, Business Operations,

In cooperation with Superintendent forecast project resource requirements.

Complete a cost/revenue projection for all projects and update/review Senior Project Leader at least monthly

:

-
Review project financials daily and monitor progress against established plans.

Complete monthly progress billing for all projects

:

Prepare weekly operating report and present to Senior Project Leader Weekly

:

-
Meet with site foremen at least 2 times per week and use execution control tools to monitor productivity and create action plans to address variances

  • Position Requirements

Requirements

:


  • College, University or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (i.e. Construction/Project Management)
  • Minimum of 5 years' project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a Project Manager for Demolition/ Construction projects
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex problems and to plan and lead multidisciplinary teams to execute demolition solutions
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, standards, and guidelines related to demolition
  • Knowledge of the engineering design, tender, and construction management process
