Description

The Job Coach is responsible for managing and supporting those who are enrolled in a variety of our Employment Programs to ensure a successful transition into long-term employment within the organization.


Duties and Responsibilities

Administration

  • Ensure the administrative tasks associated with each intake are coordinated
  • Ensure employer satisfaction surveys are completed on time
  • Submit to the Manager of Employment Services all reports detailing participant activity and statistical information as required
  • Provide Office/Reception coverage as needed

Client Support

  • Develop and Identify employment opportunities suitable for participants in the Construction and Hospitality Industry
  • Provide case management and job coach support for JHS employment participants
  • Provide the participants with intensive support during work experience
  • Follow up with participants after work experience at 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days
  • Document progress and employment status of employment participants on our client management system.
  • Provide transportation for participants during the initial stage of employment
  • Provide classroom support and coordinate classroom materials as needed
  • Purchase industryspecific safety equipment for employment participants as needed
  • Educate and inform employers about the goals and purpose of JHS employment programs
  • Develop the Next Step Plan with participants and revise as needed
  • Assist participant touchback sessions according to need

Community Engagement

  • Provide support to employers on an ongoing basis to ensure employment participants successfully transition into employment
  • Promote the JHS employment programs to potential referral sources on an ongoing basis
  • Mediate conflicts that may arise between the employers and employment participants

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Services or an equivalent combination of postsecondary education and experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations including those with mental health, addictions, and developmental disabilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, dispute resolution, and problemsolving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and strong administrative skills required

Job Requirements

Salary:
$22.00-$24.00 per hour
