We are recruiting an
Operations Support Lead to work out of our
Oakville Distribution Centre and be broadly responsible for the following:


Accountabilities:


  • Ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees in the DC
  • Resolution of day to day operational and personnel issues
  • Lead staff in following processes related to and independent of Warehouse Management System
  • Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards
  • Facilitation of daily shift huddles and other employee meetings as required
  • Independently lead shifts, ensuring all orders are processed and shipped to customers, adhere to established deadlines
  • Lead and develop replenishment team to ensure proper processes are in place and followed
  • Resolution of day to day operational issues related to replenishments including root cause analysis
  • Manage daily counts (errors, product movements, short picks, warehouse generated requests, IPRA counts) and adjustments based on reported errors
  • Manage and participate in cycle count program including adherence to schedule, item grouping analysis and EWM updating, and all reporting
  • Item quality checks for characteristics including lot number, expiry date, size, description, etc.
  • Monitor EWM reports to identify and correct issues with volumetrics, item setup, location setup, and obsolete items to increase efficiencies
  • Evaluate product slotting to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy by moving materials into the most appropriate areas of the facility
  • Manage components of new projects as assigned (i.e. new hospital setup)
  • Take responsibility for first line disciplinary action i.e. verbal warnings and recommend further disciplinary action
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 2 years material handling experience with inventory control in a fastpaced warehouse / distribution environment using a Warehouse Management System
  • Proven inventory control experience with a good knowledge of supply chain principles
  • Highly organized, selfmotivated and dependable team player with a strong aptitude for analysis and process refinement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all internal/external customers, providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong computer skills in a windows environment (Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Experience with

SAP:
Extended Warehouse Management is considered an asset


Education:


  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma or recognized equivalent
  • Post-Secondary education in business and/or a related field is preferred
  • Licensed Forklift Operator Certificate
