Career Opportunity:


  • The incumbent is responsible for the management, planning, designing, direction, execution, implementation, integration and administration of the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) business systems of the Rail Cars and Shops department, ensuring that the maintenance methodologies are suitable to meet current and future expectations for safe, reliable and clean revenue railvehicles

What You Will Do:


  • Develop, manage and integrate detailed maintenance methodologies with existing and new Rail Cars and Shops Work Order System, and RAMS business systems and solutions.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains the budget, workforce, attendance, and safety databases, and integrating Systems Development Life Cycle methodology and ensuring proper documentation of the software, as per corporate requirements
  • Manage, design and reconcile reports from Transit Control, Work Order Systems and business systems and solutions, ensuring data integrity, accuracy and quality.
  • Develop, manage, and integrate business improvements.
  • Monitor and assess system performance to identify and address systemrelated issues.
  • Manage, design, direct, analyse and integrate departmental data into detailed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports which include the reliability and cleanliness of vehicles and their components.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of operational and maintenance data to identify trends and monitor performances over the lifecycle of the subsystem.
  • Perform periodic audits and ensure adherence to established quality standards and data integrity. Provide a quality control audit function for repair, overhaul and inspection of work carried out in the vehicle repair facilities.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental staff for successful integration and ongoing performance of the RCS business systems and solutions.
  • Supervise the work of and provide effective leadership to subordinate staff.
  • Coach, train and provide guidance to staff, encouraging and supporting innovative ideas and approaches.
  • Provide reliable information and opinion regarding technical system matters and make recommendations for change, enhancements and sustainability.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?:


  • Completion of a university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial engineering or Business Administration, or any combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Several Years of directlyrelated work experience
  • Sound knowledge of computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering and/or business administration disciplines
  • Good understanding of maintenance management theory and practice
  • Anticipate and trouble shoot issues and problems with the business systems in a timesensitive environment to minimize impact to the maintenance and operations of the revenue railvehicle fleet, including newly acquired railvehicles
  • Sound judgement supported by highlydeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to motivate and coordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives to endusers
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with ability to work independently as well as to coordinate efforts of others to accomplish objectives to end user
