**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
**_ASSISTANT, PROMOTIONS (MARKETING)
- **Reporting to the Field Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of marketing tasks as well as providing support for the volunteer program up to and during the week of the 2023 National Bank Open presented by Rogers.


Your main responsibilities will be:
Promotions Coordination

  • Coordinate all media partner onsite activations.
  • Perform daytoday administrative support related to marketing and promotions.
  • Work closely with the corporate partnerships team and associated partners leading up to and during the event to develop a plan to ensure all activation sponsor needs are met.
  • Assist with the management of all on site promotions.
  • Assist with event day operations layouts, minbymin / scheduling, audio/VB for promotions, ceremonies, show fulfilment.
  • Distribute promotional material (posters, brochures, etc.) to clubs and camps within the GTA.
  • Develop a promotions binder that tracks all promotions information.
  • Develop promotional binder with critical paths and action plans for each promotional activity.
  • Work with Ops to coordinate all daily signage needs for promotion activations.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the promotions area.
  • Support the marketing and operations teams with implementation of the promotions committee volunteer program.
  • Coordinate all equipment/power/storage/ needs, etc.
  • Coordinate setup and dismantle of all onsite promotions.
  • Assist with any preevent/off site promotions.
  • Coordinate various programming suppliers including but not limited to musicians, entertainment, coaches, etc.
  • Coordinate Employee Days as required.
  • Develop rain plan.
  • Coordinate tournament messaging matrix ensuring all programming is communicated effectively on various platforms (i.e., website, video boards, hand outs, app, etc.).
Free Community Weekend Coordination

  • Assist in the coordination and supervision Free Community Weekend setup prior to the event.
  • Work directly with Account Executives and Associated sponsors to ensure all sponsor needs are met.
  • Oversee the management of Free Community Weekend during the event.
  • Develop critical paths.
Assist in the management of volunteers assigned to assist with Free Community Weekend coordination during the event.

  • Ensure all promotional materials displayed for Free Community Weekend on site are in good condition and any collected ballots are returned to appropriate person at the end of Family Weekend.
  • Oversee the tear down of all Free Community Weekend items following the day.
  • Assist in the organization of any additional promotions connected with Free Community Weekend.
**WHO YOU ARE?

  • Bachelor's Degree, business, or marketing focus (preferred).
  • 12 years of experience in a marketing and/or in an event management role.
  • Highly motivated and a team player.
  • Creative thinking and high level of adaptability and prioritization.
  • Strong organizational, timemanagement and projectmanagement skills.
  • Ability to work wit a team as well as independently, ability to take initiative.
  • Possess leadership skills and a strong desire to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Passionate and selfmotivated with a winning and positive attitude.
  • The flexibility to work as required within the time commitment requirements necessary for special events.
  • French is an asset.
**WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Term of contract: May 1, August 18, 2023, Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:00pm.
  • Some evening and weekend work is required and extended hours will occur during the National Bank Open.
