Job Description:


Strategy & Planning

  • Analyze the market and develop 5 year rolling strategic plan for growth that is aligned with our sales targets. Plan to include the support structure required to effectively achieve the goals and targets
  • Establish annual sales targets via our sales planning process; Sales & Territory Plan
  • Establish product roadmap that is aligns the 5 year business plan with overall sales and business targets
  • Identify and obtain approval for key enablers required achieve sales and business targets
  • Develop and manage budget for key sales, marketing and promotional activities to enable and support the growth the market, via Sales and Marketing Departments
  • Develop and manage strategic stock plan to effectively support the market throughout the complete product life cycle in an efficient manner that is aligned with our inventory targets

Sales / Products

  • Customer visits together with outside sales and our channel partners
  • Leading discussions that determine opportunities using the Consultative Selling Process
  • Work with Regional Managers and Sales to identify and support target accounts
  • Provide input for the development and implementation of distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts in collaboration with responsible outside sales or Channel Partner
  • Work with Service group to develop and promote aftermarket support strategy
  • Determine the type, level and location of support required to achieve the agreed upon growth targets. Outline the requirement, along with business justification and seek approval for implementation of required technical resources
  • Develop marketing strategies for new product release, campaign and product awareness

Promotion

  • Advertising
  • Develop and submit recommendations to the Marketing Manager for literature & advertising support
  • Create and commute unique value propositions and story lines
  • Devise product positioning statements and key benefits statements that align with target customer, (include counter measures to competing products and technologies).
  • Manage and distribute technical product literature, (paper and electronic)
  • Identify and seek approval and resources for web based tools that are aligned with sales and growth strategy
  • Recommend, plan and participate in relevant trade shows and exhibitions via Sales and Marketing Departments.

Channel Partners

  • Working with Regional Sales to identify potential partners to support sales growth objectives
  • Define service levels and work with Service to put enablers in place
  • Review lead times against market expectations and align programs and stock to maximise sales opportunities
  • Manage Channel Partner pricing strategy

Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research identifying trends for both existing and prospective customers and products
  • Provide market intelligence in the form of reports to the Sales, identifying potential markets and collaborating on a strategy to leverage relevant opportunities
  • Competition;
  • Determine market share
  • Gathering competitive data on products, pricing and delivery lead times
  • Plan and communicate appropriate counter measures to sell against competing products
  • Competition long term strategy and providing appropriate counter measures

Pricing

  • In conjunction with sales and Rexroth mandates, develop pricing strategy to the market
