What you will have to do:

  • Be a key member of the Investment Product team that supports Advisors and Senior Management.
  • Perform day to day product shelf management activities to ensure integrity of product shelf
  • Fund Additions
  • Fund Changes (names, terminations)
  • Fund Mergers
  • Support advisors, field staff, and other internal/external partners with product related inquiries
  • Manage SLFISI and SLCSI Engagement Protocols programs
  • Contribute to the strategic management of both SLCSI & SLFISI Product Shelf
  • Conduct research and due diligence on various investment products and manufacturers
  • Communicate Material Fund Changes (Risk & Investment Objective changes) to Advisors, Supervision, and Compliance teams
  • Contribute to the oversight and governance of both the SLCSI & SLFISI Product Shelf
  • Collect and analyze Business Promotional Spend data from the fund companies on the SLFISI shelf
  • Review and approve Cooperative Marketing Events and Dealer Sponsored Events, ensuring they are compliant with both Sun Life policies and NI 8110
  • Manage & maintain
    Product Advisor Hub pages (risk, IO, fund co list, HNW, USD, etc)
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as required for various teams within Sun Life
  • New Control Reports on Fee Status
  • Nominee Custodial Report
  • Support Fund Research reporting as needed
  • Book of business AUM/Sales reporting (mutual funds, ETFs, liquid alt., etc.)
  • Grandfathered List

Qualifications:


  • University Degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in an investment product function
  • Has previous distribution or dealer experience
  • Mutual fund and ETF industry knowledge (OM, alternatives, SMA are nice to haves)
  • Passion for Investments (e.g. working towards CFA, or CIM)
  • Experience with industry specific tools such as Morningstar Direct would be considered an asset

  • Communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to design and deliver presentations and training to advisors & internal Sun Life staff

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and Frenchspeaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
