Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to client leads in an efficient and professional manner
  • Gather relevant and detailed information regarding each individual event
  • Confidently discuss food service needs and recommend service styles and menu options
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Prepare customized proposals inclusive of menu, staffing, and rental estimates
  • Arrange and conduct venue site visits as required with clients
  • Solidify catering contracts and sign backs
  • Coordinate & Schedule staffing, rentals and other event needs
  • Collaborate with Culinary team to create custom menus
  • Execute events onsite to ensure smooth execution
  • Manage budgets, Schedule payments and prepare invoices
  • Conduct tastings for potential and confirmed clients
  • Communicate with culinary team and prepare quantified menus
  • Business Development & Outreachwork closely with ownership & head of sales to secure new clients
  • Training & development of Jr. Staff
  • Other duties as required.

Onsite Event Manager Responsibilities

  • Event execution onsite
  • Primary point of contact for client, venue contact, and/or planner on site
  • Liaise effectively between client, staffing and culinary team throughout event | Provide clear communication throughout
  • Delegate wait staff tasks for set up and service execution based on timeline and event package prepared by Event Sales Manager
  • Ensure rental checks are performed and contact rental companies regarding missing items prior to event start
  • Set up decor/station items with wait staff
  • Post any required signage
  • Set Kitchen & Perform equipment checks prior to culinary arrival
  • Troubleshoot onsite issues & timeline changes throughout the event
  • Liaise with other vendors
  • Lead preevent meetings for all staff
  • Run the pass throughout food service
  • Assist culinary team where required throughout food service
  • Manage beverage if TOBEN is providing
  • Maintain positive and professional manner with staff and client alike while on site
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years Relevant Work Experience in Catering/Hospitality/Events
  • Superior communication, time management, and organizational skills a must
  • Adept at Multitasking
  • Must hold a valid G2 or G Ontario License
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Positive, Respectful Team player

Job Types:

From $50,000.00 per year
