We are part of the Industrial Automation group with a strong focus on EV products including battery cell, module and pack leak and functional testing but also serve other industries including the Life Sciences group, Aerospace Industry, traditional automotive, specialty products and the growing Fuel Cell market.


ATS Test provides PC based solutions for complex test systems that need high accuracy, high data collection and advanced analysis.

Our core competencies include electrical functional testing, electro-mechanical testing, and pneumatic and hydraulic leak and flow testing.


MAJOR DUTIES:

Plan, organize, direct and control the complete sales activities for ATS Test Inc. Canada.

Responsible for promoting ATS capabilities in Product Testing Validation and In-Line/End of Line Testing, selling the company's overall engineering and manufacturing solutions at the best possible profit margins, positioning ATS as the leading automation, integration and manufacturing company, helping to achieve positive recognition and growth within our industry, developing new opportunities and meeting quarterly and annual bookings targets.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Execute sales objectives and strategies related to the sale of leading edge technology to various international original equipment manufacturers within the North American industrial market.
  • Compile new product information reports and evaluate their potential in the marketplace as it pertains to our client's industrial systems. Analyze current sales records, market research and related business trends, and estimate market developments as to their relevant potential and provide the company with information used to predict sales potential and market conditions.
  • Provide detailed information that will be used to evaluate potential business opportunities on a specific targeted customer or geographic area.
  • Communicate the context and operating parameters for the implementation of Customer Account Strategy in the territory. Accountable for delivery of results on customer accounts, including those designated to direct reports.
  • Produce market analysis for the territory and assessments of ATS Test product, pricing and packaging strategies, as prescribed by the Senior Vice President, ASG Canada.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Execute the formulation of the Sales plans, booking targets and operating budget for the territory.
  • Recommend ATS Test customer satisfaction targets, measures, and customer satisfaction performance tracking processes. Report on performance in the area of customer satisfaction to the General Manager and ensure that trends in customer expectations are communicated within expected timeframes. Sustain targeted levels of customer service within the territory.
  • Visit key market areas to investigate current customers and potential customer operations and local conditions for business development purposes. Develop opportunities with new customers at the strategic level.
  • Work closely with the global sales team to align on key strategic account activities and support requirements
  • Attend exhibitions and trade shows to promote ATS Test as the leading automation, integration, and manufacturing company.
  • Collaborate with Sister divisions of ATS for Product Validation/ Testing opportunities, including Life Sciences, Nuclear, Global Services, etc.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.

EXPERIENCE:


  • A minimum of five of sales management experience, selling industrial automation products or related products, such as precision tooling, machine tools, special purpose machinery, industrial robots or industrial machine control systems is required.
  • The incumbent must be willing to travel globally at least 50% of the time and attend trade shows and exhibitions as required.
  • Strong communication skills, big picture awareness, business savvy and the ability to sell (both externally and internally) are required.

EDUCATION:

A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in technology, engineering or equivalent.
