We have an opportunity for an Indigenous individual to join our team as a
Trainee, Branch Operations at our branch in Fort St.

John, British Columbia.

The role will begin in late June through August / September 2023 and the schedule is Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week.


This is a great opportunity for a recent high school graduate or current post-secondary student to have exposure to all facets of the operations of a well-established and successful business.


The**
Trainee, Branch Operations will have the opportunity to obtain safety training, have exposure to the basics of equipment operation, build skills in repair, maintenance, customer service and administration, to build their resume and setting up the individual for future success in their career.


The
Trainee, Branch Operations will work closely with the Branch Manager as well as our Field Service Team, learning the operations of our Energy Services division and will have a variety of responsibilities both inside (administrative) and outside (general labour).


From an administrative perspective, the
Trainee, Branch Operations will complete various tasks in support of the sales, administration and operations teams, including tasks that require the use of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), computer and general office equipment.

Outdoor work in general labour will include learning and participating in the cleaning, maintenance and repair of our equipment as well as maintaining our yard and shop, while delivering first-class customer service.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet. This incorporates both surface rental equipment and accommodation gear in the yard
  • Cleaning and organization of the shop
  • Tracking of equipment using the Company's computer programs
  • Assist in the operation of heavy equipment with the supervision and direction of leadership
  • Follow all Black Diamond's policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Possible travel to customer sites for repair and maintenance activities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Recent High School graduate or current postsecondary student is preferred


  • Available from May

  • August to work full time
  • Reliable and selfmotivated with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • An ability to communicate professionally with clients, staff, and management.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and a clean drivers' abstract is a requirement, accommodation may be available
  • Ability to safely to lift up to 50 lbs and work outside in varying weather

This is a safety sensitive position.
