In this exciting and challenging opportunity, you will analyze, evaluate and report on business processes, methods and practices and implement re-engineered and new processes to improve efficiency across our team and cluster.


Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $71,563.00 to $100,052.00 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions.

The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

What can I expect to do in this role?: You will:

  • Identify, map, analyses and evaluate business process and methods
  • Plan and undertake the design and development in the implementation of reengineering and new business process models and best practices
  • Participate in multidisciplinary business analysis projects within the Ministry
  • Consult with clients and vendors and provide advice
  • Research trends, developments and best practices in business analysis and participate in knowledgesharing initiatives to raise awareness of business process improvements
  • Lead business team and provide leadership to external consultants in all project phases and ensure business processes are implemented successfully

How do I qualify?:


Technical Knowledge:


  • You have knowledge of business process modelling, capability maturity modelling and quality systems, to plan and undertake process reengineering assignments, research, test and implement approved associated tools, methods and standards and ensure compliance
  • You can gain knowledge of the client business environment to assess and comment on the performance of business practices, develop new practices, participate in implementation and ensure compliance

Organizational and Project Management Skills:


  • You have project management skills to work on project teams
  • You have planning and organizing skills to plan and execute work, coordinate with clients and stake holders and expedite progress to support client business needs

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:


  • You have oral and written communication skills to manage diverse business contacts, provide written or verbal instructions, prepare reports, presentations and provide recommendations
  • You have consultation and collaboration skills to obtain understanding of business processes and propose new process and solutions such as performance measure indicators
  • You have presentation and explanatory skills to provide assistance and education to clients and deliver knowledgesharing and skillsbuilding analysis and trends

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:


  • You can lead the assessment of business analysis results and determine key elements to drive process improvement
  • You can assess and revise/develop business analysis tools, methods and practices
  • You can ensure integrity in the development and testing of performance measuring tools and techniques, assess current processes against best practices to identify gaps and justify areas for improvement
