UCSH is looking for a full time
Project Manager, Construction position. This is an onsite position in our Ottawa location.


WHAT'S THE JOB ABOUT?
Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:

  • Execute all projects assigned in a timely manner.
  • Develop and manage project schedules.
  • Ensure projects are proceeding according to scope, objective, timeline and budget.
  • Manage all changes arise from the projects and liaison between the customers and project teams to discuss about the solutions.
  • Liaison between different departments and well communicate between all parties with all the changes that was made and approved.
  • Minimize the risk that may impact the projects' progressions and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and subcontractors on schedule changes and delivery.
  • Manage project costs monitor actual costs against project estimates on a regular basis.
  • Document Control tracking of project progress and all the changes amended in each project.
  • Submittal Control tracking of all submittal for each projects and inform other departments of the changes.
  • Work closely with Account Receivable team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and change orders.
  • Attend or Chair project meetings give directions to the project teams and manage expectations.
  • Visit onsite, sites can be in town or out of town
  • Other duties as assigned

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS:

  • Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Project Management or Civil Engineering Program
  • Familiar with project management principles and practices
  • Minimum 23 years of experience working as a Project Manager
  • Ability to read architectural, scrutiny, electrical drawings and specifications
  • Experience working in construction industry is an asset
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills and tech savvy
  • Valid Driver's License and comfortable to drive in town or out of town, if required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
